Susceptibility to Scam Assessment Survey is part of a comprehensive study on scam risk management for the education ecosystem in Hong Kong. It aims to develop a systematic, refined and localized research for the pragmatic situation dedicated to the cultural context of Hong Kong. It further strengthens the contribution of context-oriented research to the practices of public safety in order to develop tailored and effective strategies for prevention, detection, responses and other measures including anti-scam education and early warnings for our education ecosystem.
This survey covers students from Primary 4 to Postgraduates for the period from March to May 2025. Individual reports will be sent to schools in June and a full debriefing will be conducted on 5 July 2025.
Susceptibility to scam refers to an individual's tendency to be victimized when faced with a specific scam scenario. Risk factors of victimisation in this context may be associated with students’ behaviors, perceptions, attitudes, real-life scam exposure, reporting behaviors, among others.
